Цель урока: развивать интеллектуальные способности учащихся, познакомить их с некоторыми историческими событиями в истории Великобритании.

Задачи: развивать навыки чтения с полным пониманием и аудирования с пониманием основного содержания и для извлечения необходимой информации ; расширять круг познавательных интересов учащихся, используя страноведческий материал.

План урока

1. Введениевтемуурока: СЛАЙД 1. - Today we are going to speak about one of the biggest and the most important cities of Great Britain — York. Look at the map of the United Kingdom and say if it is in England or in Scotland? (It’s in the North of England.)

You know, York is an ancient city. It is more than 2,000 years old. During its long history it has suffered a lot of invasions: Roman, Anglo- Saxon and Viking invasions. СЛАЙД 2 — КАРТА. The Vikings came from Scandinavia and Denmark. They wanted to get new lands and to become rich and powerful.

The Roman invasion of Britain began in 43 AD. The Romans quickly realized the strategic value of this place at the confluence of the Foss and the Ouse rivers. They established a fort on the banks of the Ouse. The fort, and the town that grew up about it was called Eboracum. The Romans left Eboracum some time around 410 AD, and the city, like much of Roman Britain, fell into a period of decay and decline. Soon, at the beginning of the 9th century, a new invader fell upon the city; the Anglo-Saxons. Later, In 866, there came the Vikings….

7. Домашнее задание. Нарисуйте открытку и напишите на ней о своем путешествии в Йорк. (3-й уровень: Напишите 4-5 верных и неверных предложений об истории Великобритании. ) Выставление и комментирование оценок.
