2. Introduction of the new proverb: teacher asks pupils to solve proverb in rebus, read, translate it then repeat how to pronouns it after her.

2. Pupils try to guess the proverb in rebus read it, translate and write it in their copybook than repeat after teacher the pronunciation. (individual work, work in whole class)

3. Pupils write necessary words on the cluster. Protect their cluster. (work in group)

  2. Grammar practice

Teacher reviews how to make positive sentences with going to for different persons with the help of the Grammar spot. Goes through the example and asks pupils to work individually and match the words from the four columns to help them write sentences about Wayne's and his family members' holiday plans. They can use the same subject more than once. Points out the possessive’s in Wayne's uncle/mum and the contracted form of isin the first column so that pupils are not confused. Reviews the prepositions of place and movement: in, on, at, around but do not expect pupils to use them actively with the places in New York City.

Sets a time limit of 7 minutes for the task. Then asks pupils to compare their answers in pairs and then with the text in Activity 1a. Asks different pupils to come to the white board and write down their sentences.

1.Writing

a. Teacher asks some pupils come to the blackboard and take interview from their classmate. In pairs pupils plan a trip by answering the questions in the questionnaire. Teacher goes through the example before they begin the task. (work in pair using dialogue)

b. Teacher asks pupils to write the answer to the questions in their copybooks and then read their descriptions to the class and check if any other descriptions are the same as theirs. (Flipchart № 9)

2. Game.

Teacher explains how to play the long sentence game in a circle. The first pupil must make a sentence about an activity they are going to do during their summer holiday. The sentence does not have to be true. The second student repeats their sentence and adds their own and so on round the circle. If someone cannot repeat the sequence or add their own sentence within 15 seconds, they are out of the game. Pupils play until no one can remember the whole sequence. Teacher goes through the example before they begin playing.

3. Check your English

Teacher asks pupils to look at the people and their plans in the thought bubbles and make sentences about them with going to. Asks them to compare their answers in pairs and then check with the whole class.

a) Pupils come to the blackboard and take interview from each other. Plan a trip by answering the questions in the questionnaire. (work in pair using dialogue)

b) Pupils write the answer to the questions in their copybooks and then read their descriptions to the class working in pairs.(Individual work, work in pair)
