Good morning, pupils! Take your seats and get ready for the lesson.

How are you feeling today?

Today we are going to speak about sports in Great Britain, but now I want to ask you some questions:

1. Listening

Now your task is to listen to the description of the sports and name them:

a) This game is played by two teams. There are 6 players in each team. They play game on an ice field.(HOCKEY)

b) It is a team game. Two teams hit a large ball with their hands over a high basket. (BASKETBALL)

c)It is a game of two players. Each player starts with sixteen different playing pieces. They move the playing on a board. The aim of the game is taking your opponents king.(CHESS)

There are names of sports on the blackboard. Divide your exercise-books into two columns and write team sports in one column and individual sports in other column. For this task you have 3 minutes:
