Narrator 1: Thank you very much.It was amazing! Magical!

Narrator 2: Our students prepare some poems about Christmas.

Poems

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.

The good you do for others is good you do yourself.

**********************************

I'd like a stocking made for a giant,
And a meeting house full of toys,
Then I'd go out in a happy hunt
For the poor little girls and boys;
Up the street and down the street,
And across and over the town,
I'd search and find them everyone,
Before the sun went down.

*********************************

A song was heard at Christmas
To wake the midnight sky:
A saviour's birth, and peace on earth,
And praise to God on high.
The angels sang at Christmas
With all the hosts above,
And still we sing the newborn King
His glory and his love.

*********************************

A good time is coming, I wish it were here,
The very best time in the whole of the year;
I'm counting each day on my fingers and thumbs
the weeks that must pass before Santa Claus comes.

********************************

There's More to Christmas…
There's more, much more to Christmas
Than candle-light and cheer;
It's the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all the year;
It's thoughtfulness and kindness,
It's hope reborn again,
For peace, for understanding
And for goodwill to men!

*******************

One little star on the top of the tree,
Two little presents underneath for me,
Three silver ropes twisted around the tree,
Four colored lights shining prettily,
Five shining balls flowing silvery.
Oh, what a sight for use to see!

*******************

Two merry blue eyes
A very little nose
A long snowy beard
And cheeks like a rose
A round chubby man
A big bulging pack
Hurrah for Old Santa
We're glad he's come back!

Narrator 1: Wonderful poems! Do you like parties?

Narrator 2: Yes, defenitely!

Narrator 1: Do you like dancing?

Narrator 2: Yes, of course!

Narrator 1: Let’s go to watch a beautiful dance!

Dance “Uptown funk”

Narrator 2: (dancing)

Narrator 1: Ohh…You are good dancer.Gorgeous!

Narrator 2: Christmas is the time of miracles and wonders which happen here and everywhere.

Narrator 1: On Christmas the bells ring. And send messages of peace and love to everyone.

Narrator 2: And now let's sing a song «Jingle bells ».

“Jingle bells”

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

SC: Good morning, my dear children. I am very glad to see you. I want to congratulate you on Christmas. I wish you:

New things to learn, new friends to meet.

New songs to sing, new books to read,

New things to see, new things to hear,

New things to do in this glad New Year.

Drama

Scene 1: We see Victorian London street. It gets busier and busier with people and children sing Christmas carols. (Звучит песня We wish you a merry Chtistmas)

We wish you a Merry Christmas;

We wish you a Merry Christmas;

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;

Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We wish you a Merry Christmas;

We wish you a Merry Christmas;

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Scrooge: - What an awful noise! I can't hear it anymore! Go away!

Children: - But Mr. Scrooge! We are singing a Christmas carol, sir. Today is Christmas Eve.

Scrooge: - Go away i said! Don't sing in front of my office!

Cratchit: (in a very shy voice): Oh, Mister Scrooge! You have already come, Sir…

Scrooge: Yes! I came here at 8 o'clock. And what time is it now?

Cratchit: 15 minutes past eight, sir.

Scrooge: You are not in time today. I wouldn't pay for the these 15 minutes. Sit down and mind your business!

Cratchit: Yes, sir!

Fred: Merry Christmas, uncle, God bless you!

Scrooge: Humbug! What reasons do you have to be merry? You are poor!

Fred: And you are rich enough! What reasons do you have you to be miserable?

Scrooge: What else should I be when the world is full of fools like you? Holidays are for fools!

Fred: Come on, dear uncle! Let's have a Christmas dinner with me and my family!

Scrooge: Don't waste my time, Fred! I have so many things to do today! Good afternoon!

Fred: Happy New Year, my dear uncle!

Scrooge: Humbug!

Fred: Good bye, Bob! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Cratchit: Thank you Sir!

Scrooge: It's 5 o'clock! I must go. Close the office, Bob!

1st philanthropist: Your generosity, Mr. Scrooge!

Scrooge: Generosity? Ge-ne-what?

1st philanthropist: Christmas is time when we should provide food for the poor who suffer greatly in this cold season! Hundreds and thousands of people are in great need in this city!

Scrooge: What do you mean: the poor are in need? Are there no prisons?

2nd philanthropist: There are plenty of prisons, Sir…

Scrooge: What about workhouses, are they still in operation?

1st philanthropist: But my dear sir, we collect money to buy some food and drink for the poor so that they can celebrate Christmas. So, how much would like to put down for?

Scrooge: Nothing.

2nd philanthropist: You want to remain anonymous?

Scrooge: Anonymous? A-no-ny-mous? I wish to be left alone. I don’t make myself merry at Christmas and I will not help lazy people get merry this time a year. Those badly in need should go to workhouses.

1st philanthropist: In workhouses families are split, parents never get to see their children, brothers and sisters never get to know each other. Many would rather die than go there.

Scrooge: So let them die!

Ghostly voice: Scrooge! Ebenezer Scrooge!

Scrooge: I don't believe my eyes! Marley? But you are dead! You don't exist! It's my imagination!

Jacob Marley: Scrooge! Look at me! Look at these chains! I wear the chain i made during my life! I thouhgt only about my business! I didn't help poor people and that is the result! I have no peace after the death!

Scrooge: Can i help you?

Jacob Marle: Help? Help me? No, it's to late! The same life is waiting for you! I came here to save you! You can change your future still! Three ghosts will visit you one by one. They will help you. Good-bye!

Scrooge: i just ate something! I am sleeping, i am sleeping now! It is not true!

The Ghost of Christmas Past: Get up Scrooge!

Scrooge: Oh, no i want to sleep!

The Ghost of Christmas Past: How lazy you are! Get up i said! I am the Ghost of Christmas Past.Your Past! Come with me to your childhood!

Scrooge: It's me!

The Ghost of Christmas Past: Yes. Just look at this lovely boy! What a good boy you were! But so sad and lonely!

Boy Scrooge: It's a Christmas Eve! Nobody came to see me! Even my father! He hates me because my mother died after my birth! Only books are my friends!

The Ghost of Christmas Past: It was your childhood? let's go to your youth! But before i would like to ask you: do you believe in love, Scrooge?

Scrooge: What a nonsense! Of course i don't!

The Ghost of Christmas Past: But when you were younger, you loved. I can prove it! Wait and see!

Scrooge: I didn't marry her. I wanted to make business, that's why i am rich now.

The Ghost of Christmas Past: (laughing) Rich? You don't have friends, family, wife, children! Is it a life Scrooge? How miserable you are! You can't buy everything!

Scrooge: Leave me, leave me alone!

Scene 8: Звучит песня Deck the halls.

Belinda: I am so hungry mother! I can't stand anymore!

Cratchit Child 2: Me too!

Cratchit Child 3: Me too!

Mrs. Cratchit: Wait a minute, please!

Bob: Dear children! Today we are going to celebrate Christmas! Your mother has cooked a special Christmas dinner for us! But what should we say before everything?

All: God bless us everyone!

Bob: Dear Mr. Scrooge, my boss, should we ask something for him too?

Mrs. Cratchit: Oh, no! He is so greedy for money! Who is Mr. Scrooge? He even didn't want to pay you for this holiday!

Bob: My dear, please, don't be so angry with him for the sake of Christmas!

Mrs. Cratchit: Ok. God, bless Mr. Scrooge! And Happy New Year to him!

All children: For Mr. Scrooge!

Scrooge: They are so poor! What a lovely family Bob has!

Ghost of Christmas Present: It's time to go home, Scrooge! Good bye!

Ghost 3: Scrooge! What a useless life you spent! You helped nobody! You had no friends! You always thought only about money! Look here! Here is the result!

Scrooge: No, no! Dear ghost, if i had no chance, you wouldn't show me everything! Listen to me, i am not a man that i was before! i would change all my life! i would become the kindnest person of the world! Please, give me a chance! Please, please!

Ghost 3: God gives you this chance, Scrooge! Use it in the best way! And don't forget about these lessons!

The end

Game “What is it?”

Poems

Christmas time is here,
happiness and cheer,
fun for all that children
call their favorite time of year.

Snowflakes in the air,
carols everywhere,
olden times and ancient rhymes
and love and dreams to share.

******************************

I like the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar cards play
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

******************************

Christmas days are white with snow,
The winds are laughing as they blow.
Across the ponds and lakes we glide,
And over the drifting snow we ride
And down the hills we gaily slide
And shout with all our might!

*****************************

So softy came the snowflakes down,

That no one heard in the entire town,

The sunrise up, the land is too,

As parachuting always would do!

So when the morning came sunrise,

The world lay white before your eyes,

With cotton roof the heels are blue,

And even use of rabbit flour!

Narrator 1: Our party won’t be magical without main character!

New things to do in this glad New Year.

Narrator 2: Santa do you want to play with us?

SC: With pleasure!!!!

Narrator1 : LAAAAAAAAAAAAST CHRISTMAAAAAAS!

Song “Last Christmas” (Cascade)

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby, do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

Happy Christmas

I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying, "I love you", I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special, special

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God, I thought you were someone to rely on
Me, I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

A face on a lover, with a fire in her heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Now I've found a real love
You'll never fool me again

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

A face on a lover, with a fire in his heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Maybe next year, I'll give it to someone
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone
I'll give it to someone special

Narrator2: So, our Christmas party comes to the end and i would like to finish it with New Year Resolutions. There are some pupils in my group who behaved themselves badly this year and they want to keep their promises next year and to change themselves completely!

New Year Resolutions

I promise to be very very good,

I promise to do the things I should,

I promise to make my bed each day,

I promise to put my things away.

I promise not to throw my socks on the floor,

I promise to put my socks in the drawer,

I promise to do my homework right,

I promise not to stay up late at night.

I promise to listen to my mum and dad,

I promise not to do anything bad.
